This project is inspired by Tom Lea's work, "Marines Call It That 2,000 Yard Stare". It is apparently the 'look' a soldier has after being in the field after a certain amount of time - As if they are looking past life and into something else.
I wanted to take a dated piece and update the theme (Iraq) and medium (3D). This project is my first XSI/Zbrush comp.
Modelled in XSI > textured in Zbrush > rendered in XSI > tweaked in Photoshop.
