This is a character conceptual I produced based on the comic, 'I, Frankenstein'.

I initially set out to do this with a 2D/toon-shaded look. As it progressed, it looked too flat and bland. I ended up going with a more deliberate 3D approach - finer details, greater contrast, etc.
I still wanted to have the impression of a comic hero from paper, so I later refined the final output in the attempt to give it that hybrid 2d/3d style.

I consider this done, but I'm not ruling out revisiting this in the future - particularly the wrinkles.
